Chi Nei Tsang

Chi Massage to Benefit the Vital Organs

Chi Nei Tsang (pronounced chee-nay-sahng) is part of the Universal Healing Tao System, founded by Mantak Chia in 1979. The techniques of Chi Nei Tsang evolved in Asia during an era when few physicians were available and people had to know how to heal themselves. The Taoist sages of ancient China observed that humans often develop energy blockages in their internal organs that result in knots and tangles in their abdomens. These obstructions occur at the center of the body’s vital functions and constrict the flow of chi (energy), our life force. The negative effects of excessive emotions of fear, anger, anxiety, depression, and worry cause the most damage. Problems can also be caused by overwork, stress, accidents, surgery, drugs, toxins, poor food, and bad posture. All of the body’s energy meridians run through the abdominal area, so the techniques of Chi Nei Tsang can positively affect all energies of the body. Practicing Chi Nei Tsang techniques can help to relieve energy stagnation, and detoxify and rejuvenate the vital organs surrounding the navel center.

Chi Nei Tsang sessions are offered one-on-one and are by appointment only. The session is both a healing treatment and a learning opportunity. I will do the techniques for you during the session, and bit-by-bit, I will teach you how to do many of them for yourself. This gives you the benefit of receiving a relaxing, healing treatment, and also, taking ownership of your own well-being.

“The balance of peaceful Chi energy in a person is very important because it can help to balance the Chi of another person who is close. Anything that is overly extreme will cause an imbalance of Chi energy and will destroy peacefulness. There are five types of peace necessary in a family: Peace of mind … Peace of the heart … Peace of the body … Peace of the organs … and Peace of the senses.”
